A fixture difficulty rating (FDR) scores how hard each upcoming match is for a team on a 1 to 5 scale, where 1 is the easiest. Here it is built from each opponent's attacking and defensive expected goals, with an adjustment for home advantage, and shown as a fixture ticker across the gameweeks you choose.
The official rating is set by hand before the season and rarely moves. This one is refitted from expected goals as results come in, and it splits into an attacking rating (how easy the opponent is to score against) and a defensive rating (how likely a clean sheet is). A team can be an easy fixture for forwards and a hard one for defenders in the same week.
Every morning. The model is refitted daily at around 6am UK time, so the day after a round of matches the new expected goals are already in. The date under the grid shows the last update.
Pick the range of gameweeks you are planning for and sort by difficulty. Use the attack view for forwards and midfielders and the defence view for defenders and goalkeepers. The chips above the grid name the easiest and hardest runs over that range, and flag teams whose fixtures turn from hard to easy or back.
